Dixon Admin to Sue Bank for Predatory Lending to Blacks
Interesting, if not laudable. Wells-Fargo must have missed a donation somewhere.

My understanding of this is that the lawsuit has been in the works for more than a year. Dixon gets to take credit for taking action on a hot issue. But, I think she's too intellectually challenged to fully comprehend the issue. So, I doubt that she spearheaded the effort. Stats show that blacks with the same,or better, credit profile as whites, and others, are given higher interest rates than others. This would be discrimination based on race. As far as being targeted by Wells-Fargo, I suspect that the lender has predatory practices that target poor people with poor credit and a poor understanding of mortgage lending. In Baltimore, the majority of these folks happen to be black. We know predatory lenders target easy marks, ie the whole Senior Citzen reverse mortgage/annuity scam. One could argue age discrimination in those cases. But, I suspect it is what it is: predators preying upon easy prey.
This is a titanic article as they all are. I bring into the world been wondering wide this for some culture now. Its great to receive this info. You are fair and balanced.
